ECG Quiz - An online electrocardiogram interpretation test

Dear readers,
Almost all physicians are confronted to ECGs (electrocardiograms) in their usual practice. ECGs can be really tricky and their interpretation is not always straightforward. I have the great pleasure to announce you that ECG Quiz is now online and fully operational! This is an educative website with over 200 ECG-based clinical cases as well as practical guidelines. These learning modules will allow you to become quick and efficient at ECG interpretation, giving you more time to concentrate on your patients' treatment.

The website is divided into two sections. The first section contains some common guidelines and criteria for ECG interpretation and ECG-based decision making as well as some good tricks to interpret difficult ECGs, for example how to detect STEMI in presence of Left ventricular hypertrophy, how to detect STEMI in presence of Left bundle branch block, and what is the localisation of an infarct (culprit vessel), among others. It is not a basic ECG interpretation course. For that purpose the authors would like to recommend a fantastic ECG learning ressource called LifeInTheFastLane ECG library which contains both ECG interpretation basics as well as an extensive library of ECGs ordered by diagnosis.

The second section is the core of the website. 8 different ECG Quizzes containing more than 200 clinical cases in total will quickly make you an efficient ECG enthusiast. These cases aren't some exotic stuff. On the contrary, they represent a good sample of the daily practice. Some serious conditions are mixed with more benign ones, like in real life. We think that learning by doing is the key to true efficiency "on the field". Passive learning is necessary but interactive learning will rivet those knowledge in your mind and make them available for quick use when required.

Conclusion:
ECG Quiz is essentially a big collection of ECGs representative of a physician's daily practice. They are distributed into several interactive quizzes. Take those and become a better doctor in a few minutes! ECG Quiz is multi-platform friendly and can easily be used as a webapp by just adding a shortcut to your device's home screen.
